The zippers are too tight, and break easily. It is difficult to turn, and pulls to one side. This makes it very difficult to steer. It is also very heavy.

So I’m sorry we can’t offer you a flexible handle pet stroller. However, we do encourage you to take a look at some other pet strollers. We’ve found BestPet Classic 4 wheel strollers are very good, and if you’re looking for a three wheel all terrain type stroller the PetGear AT3 is definitely the best. If you don’t need an all terrain stroller, but like the three wheel style, BestPet Classic 3 wheel strollers are an excellent choice as well.

If you are going to be jogging or running you need a jogging stroller for your pet. A regular pet stroller just isn’t rugged enough or even built to keep up with jogging.

The easiest to fold are the Happy Trails Pet Stroller, Happy Trails PLUS Pet Stroller, and the AT3 Pet Stroller. With each of these models, you simply slide one button with your thumb (the lock), depress the large button on the handle (the release), and then immediately and easily fold to 15″ to 18″ high.

The Walk ‘n Roll Pet Stroller is also easy to fold. It requires two hands, since the brackets on either side must be slipped upward to release the lock and fold the stroller to less than 10″ high. The Walk ‘n Roll is smaller than the Happy Trails, so the size of your pet and the amount of room your pet desires will affect which stroller you select.

The line of strollers from Kittywalk do not fold as easily as the other pet strollers. The stroller portion of the Kittywalk collapses flat, but the carrier portion can be collapsed only by removing a number of braces. While the other pet strollers collapse in seconds, the Kittywalk strollers require a couple minutes of effort to collapse and reassemble.

Don’t get me wrong, the Kittywalk pet strollers are still very recommendable–they are very sturdy, spacious, and functional. One benefit the Kittywalk has the others don’t is that the carrier portion is detachable. Other benefits include the variety of sizes, styles, and colors available, the fact the stroller portion can be used without the carrier to roll groceries or other light loads, and the privacy area that permits your pet some solitude while in the pet stroller.

This should give you a good idea of the folding abilities of different pet strollers. Just make sure you know what you need from a pet stroller before you buy. Do you need one that folds quickly and easily or do you need a detachable carrier? Answering this question for yourself will help you find the perfect pet stroller for you and your pet.

You want to make sure your pet is going to feel comfortable in the pet stroller, which means he has enough room and is not cramped. Feeling cramped may lead your dog to not want to stay in the pet stroller and try to get out or claw at that sides.

I would suggest using the Walk ‘n Roll Pet Stroller for smaller even tea cup dogs, and go for a medium to large size stroller for medium to larger size dogs.

The Happy Trails Pet Stroller is great for dogs between 15 and 20 pounds.

The Jeep Rubicon is perfect for large dogs or animals up to 60 pounds.

If you are thinking about gifting a pet stroller to a friend or family member there are a few things you need to consider.

The size of the person’s pet. The size of the pet will determine which pet stroller you will need. You can’t necessarily just go by the weight requirements on the pet stroller either. You also need to take into account the size of the riding area. Just because the pet is 15 pounds does not mean they will be happy in ALL pet strollers rated for a 15 lb animal. They may want/need more room to move around. Which means the next size up in pet stroller would be best.

What will they be doing with their pet stroller, will they need an easy folding stroller or a pet stroller with a detachable carrier?

Each of these particulars will be important when deciding which pet stroller to choose for your friend.

We went to Just Pet Strollers for the answer to this question. They have sold thousands of pet strollers and have never received feedback of any animal, whether dog or cat clawing or chewing through the mesh.

The mesh holes are really small and it is difficult to see a dog chewing through the mesh. The exception is the kitty walk pet stroller. The holes in the mesh are larger, but made of very strong material making it difficult, if not impossible for them to claw through.

I bought this for my beagle (show puppy), as we go to a lot of shows and when on the road, we like to go places… Well, it is so great that I now use it at the show too–we put his grooming equipment in the bottom tray, and he stands in the bed while I get him ready. Before and after the class, he just sleeps in his bed. So simple! I used to be the only one there with one of these, but now after a few shows, others are catching on, too.

My kids say that this stroller is better than the one I had for them when they were babies–and they are right. This is stable, easy to steer, etc.

Oh, and when I get another show beagle, she will fit in, too. Such a deal!

I just purchased the Pet Gear All Terrain Pet Stroller. I previously though that pet strollers were really silly products, but when I purchased a new puppy, I realized that I needed a stroller that would allow me to take the puppy along while I exercised my other dog. I highly recommend this stroller, the large wheels which easily turn in all directions makes it easy to manage one dog and the stroller. The entire unit moves across sidewalks and grass very smoothly so that jogging with any dog under 50 lbs is easy.The design has large compartments for water bottles, pets dishes and food, in addition to any articles that I want to take to the park. In addition, the pet compartment is roomy and well ventilated and has additional weather protection covers. My puppy could see everything through the large front and back panels and play with her toys. The only disadvantage is its size when folded. The stroller collapses and has good brakes, but the front wheel prevents the unit from collapsing flat, which can take up a lot of room a car.

I purchased this for my two cats because they seemed bored being cooped up in the house all day and needed something other than my daily play sessions with them. I love the stroller, although one of my cats hasn’t gotten use to it yet. The fat one didn’t want to come out after I took him home.

I gave the unit a 4 because of the second Con and the fact that the first unit was defective due to how tightly they design the front.

Pros:

- Excellent size for two cats (one fat one and one normal size) – you can probably even get three normal-sized cats in it comfortably

- It’s so easy to push, pull, and go up and down stairs with (I live on the 2nd floor) – there is a certain “give” in the wheels when going up and down stairs as if the unit had shocks – a very nice feature and feel.

- Has ample storage – tray holder, the under cab pocket, and the tray on the bottom under this pocket

- Ride is very smooth

- It’s nice that it collapses, even though it doesn’t fold flat – front cab has to be unzippered for you to collapse

- Excellent brakes, though a little difficult for me to release once engaged

- Great design in that it has both a front and back entrance for your pets

- It’s nice to have the rain cover just in case, though some may have a hard time figuring out how it goes on. I store it in the pocket under the cab.

Cons:

- Assembly instructions are incomplete so you must guess a little

- Front cab is a bit tightly assembled so it is very difficult to zipper the front (this was the case on both the strollers I got–the torn one and its replacement). Since I don’t fold the stroller, I keep the cab zippered in front and let the cats in the back. There is more “slack” on the back entryway and zipper.

- Takes up a lot of space when folded; although the fact that you can fold it is a BIG plus

First stroller I received had a tear in the mesh. I noticed it after I assembled the entire unit and was ready to zip my cats in. So be sure to check that the stroller mesh is not defective before you assemble the unit since unassembling it is was worse than assembling it. Amazon sent me another stroller immediately.

Overall I’m very pleased with the stroller.

I purchased the pet stroller because I have an older Westie who still wants to go for walks with us, but tires out before we get back home. I was concerned about how sturdy the stroller would be because we walk on ditch roads that are not paved, and are anything but smooth. It really does work well! My dog enjoys riding in it, and especially enjoys being able to go out for the long walks again (and I don’t end up having to carry him home.) The stroller is very easy to maneuver, and easy to set-up and collapse. It is still rather large when collapsed, so I really don’t bother to collapse it very often. I really would recommend this item. It was much less expensive than other models I considered, and I am really pleased with it. Thank you!

• Only put the pet in the pet stroller when you are taking them outside. Your pet should associate the pet stroller with the enjoyment of being out of doors rather than with being confined indoors.
• Try leaving the pet stroller open and available to your pet with some treats inside the stroller. Let your pet explore the pet stroller and get to the treats inside. Be sure to lock the wheels so it doesn’t move as your cat or dog explores it (and only consider pet strollers with lockable wheels for safety’s sake).
• Reward your pet with a treat the first couple of times you use the pet stroller.
• Pet strollers are great for taking pets to crowded or hectic environments, but plan your first couple of trips to nearby destinations that are quieter and at times that are less busy. Let your pet get used to the new stroller experience without too much hustle and bustle.
• As with any change to a pet’s habits, be sure to give it a couple of times for him or her to adjust. Your pet may take a couple trips to realize their pet stroller is fun!

1. Makes Traveling Easier. Have you ever taken a flight with a cat or dog? It can be difficult to make connecting flights while carrying a heavy cat. With a pet stroller you can just roll with it.

2. Going to the Vet. A pet stroller can make a trip to the vet safer for your animal, and easier for your. They will have a safe, comfortable area, away from other, possibly agressive animals, and you do not have to carry or try to walk your pet on a leash.

3. Jogging in the park. If you have a small dog, larger overweight dog, or older dog, they may get tired before you are finished jogging in the park. With a pet stroller you can simply put them in when they get tired and continue your jog.

4. Outdoor festivals or events. Every year we have “Woofstock” a fundraising event for our local SPCA. Last year I thought about taking my schnauzer, but with a 1 year old I wasn’t sure if I would be able to manage both of them. I ended up taking the kid and leaving the dog at home. If I had owned a pet stroller at the time I would have easily been able to bring Max too.

5. Fresh Air. Wether you have an elderly dog, or a cat who likes the fresh air, but you don’t like the idea of them running around outside, the pet stroller is great for getting your pets outside in a safe environment.

6. Easier transportation of heavy pets. I admit our cats are a bit on the heavy side. (all over 15 pounds) If I have to take one or more than one to the vet it can be very hard to manage carrying the cat carrier as well as the toddler. A pet stroller is great because it just rolls right up to the vet and Hanna will even help push so it keeps her with me too.

7. Multiple little dogs. If you have more than one small dog it can be difficult to keep the leashes untangled as you walk them. You can easily put a few small dogs in a dog stroller and get them quickly and easily where you are going.

8. Protect dogs from accidents. Small dogs are easy to miss, and easy to step on. If you are out on a busy street a pet stroller will keep them safe. It’s also great if you have a dog who doesn’t listen very well and will rush out into traffic.

9. Protect paws in the winter. If you have to walk your dog through the city to get to a dog park during the winter that can be a rough trip with all the salt and ice along the way. Your dog can still his run in with a quick trip in a pet stroller.

10. Boating. It can be difficult to get a dog on a boat. It’s unsteady and sometimes the dog is nervous. You can easily transfer your dog onto a boat in a pet stroller. It also provides a safe place for them to be during your boating adventure.
