This stroller is a great buy for the price that it is. It is much nicer than those expensive dog strollers you see in the mall. My 5 pound chihuahua loves it but it is not very secure. Their is a chain on the inside on the carrier that i can attatch to his harness and it works but sometimes he jumps out and it pulls him. Also it was much bigger than expected, it is great for a car seat and a stroller but way to big and heavy to carry on my arm. Other than that this is a great product and I love it! cant wait to take my dog on vacation!

I ordered this for a friend of mine, it came in the proper time told by this seller. Then she asked me to put it together, bummer, count out all the screws, size them but no this thing is different. I was able to put it together in 10 minutes, and I have to say, a high quality device. This is very well engineered stroller, actually better than one you would put a child in.

I needed something wheeled to take my cat to the vet since I knew I couldn’t carry his normal carrier a mile there and back. This was the only stroller with large wheels that seemed an appropriate size for my cat that I could find. The city streets and sidewalks around here are such that a small wheeled stroller could easily have issues.

The stroller was easy to put together. It fine on uneven city sidewalks & streets, up and down curbs, on uneven brick sidewalks – I’m sure it could conquer the cobblestone ones as well – even without enough air in the tires (I did need to get someone to help me put the air in – probably because of my bike pump not the stroller). The cat adjusted quickly and was chillin’ inside the stroller at the vet despite having no time to adjust to the carrier before the vet appointment. (the catnip spray might have helped…) There was room for his food bowl and he could turn around and stretch out a little but it was not too big either. He’s about 13 pounds. The front wheel doesn’t turn and the stroller is big enough that maneuvering in small spaces is a bit tricky. Still, overall it wasn’t too hard to maneuver around obstacles. It wasn’t difficult to put on the hood/sun shade but I did have difficulty removing it. It was difficult to press hard enough on the release points to get it to release.

My cat seemed to like it as well once he adjusted (I really like the front shade which you can put up or down as needed) – so I’m excited that I might be able to go on walks with him to give him a bit more stimulation than he can otherwise get as an indoor cat in a high rise building.

Edit: While this use is perhaps a bit beyond what the stroller was designed for, I do wish it was easier to remove the compartment from the stroller and that there was some internal support (and a handle) so it could be used independently. I want to take my cat to someone who is only accessible by bus/train + a walk. Since open strollers aren’t allowed on public transportation where I live – it be nice to be able to run to the train/bus, remove the carrier/fold the stroller get on the bus, get off the bus and then open stroller, replace carrier and jog to appointment. I just feel a little sad having to use the cat’s crate for this trip when he enjoys being in this stroller so much more. :) And the really nice places to walk a cat are at least a bus ride away… Perhaps this could be incorporated into Doggie Jogger II or the Doggie Jogger’s future companion stroller the Cat Jogger. ;)

I have a Scottie who has Scottie Cramp. When he gets excited his hind legs give out and he must be carried or rested for ten minutes. This would happen several times each walk. Walking him was a real challenge.

The stroller has made our walks enjoyable again. He got used to the stroller the first time I put him in it. He really loves it!

A man two doors down had a compressor and he filled the tires for me. The stroller was easy to put together. It’s very easy to push over any terrian. Its for dogs 30 pounds or less. When he is sitting in it he can see over the top of the front.

I would recommend this product to anyone who has a dog that can’t walk far yet wants to take long walks with their dog.

I bought this product after doing a lot of research on doggie strollers. I’m so glad I chose this one. It exceeds my expectations. I use it every day. My dog loves it as much as I do. It’s easy to push, easy to fold, and the storage pouch allows me to carry water, disposible waste bags and treats. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a doggie stroller.

We turn heads because people think it’s a baby stroller. The inside has a removable pad for easy washing. It can be a tad hard to turn because the front wheel can get a little twisted, but I like being able to take our dog to the gym at night and not worry about his barking at home. He’s 15 lbs and fits just right. I wouldn’t put a dog bigger than that in it.

I bought my spoiled pooch one of these a year ago – as soon as I put it together and put him in it – he owned it – he knew he could go anywhere – and does – it is a great way to protect him and others. He eats in in, sleeps in it – drinks water in it – just chills in it – I keep a stack of papers with the internet info on the stoller with me – and undoubtedly when I am out I pass out 2-3 – I often joke that I should get a commission – people just love it – a great way to advertise. I will get another one shortly just to have an extra one. Cody would not leave home without it!!! Thanks for a great product.

I bought this stroller for my 4 pound lop-eared bunny. We have it in the pink color since she is a girl. It came in the mail very quickly, took a few minutes to assemble, and looks so adorable! I can fit the bunny in it plus two of her blankets, a ziplock with timothy hay, and a toy all in the top. I keep my cellphone in the compartment on the handlebar with cups when going on walks, and store extra bunny things in the basket underneath. She loves to ride in it around the neighborhood, to the vet, or to other animal events. The downsides are that the stroller is hard to control because of the front wheel twisting, the cup holder is hard to snap on when first assembling, and the stroller is to tall for my bunny to jump in/out of on her own. It would be great if they sold a weather shield to go with this, because my bunny loves walks all year round! :] I also like that I can fold the stroller up small enough to fit in the car with most of her stuff still in it. People do think I’m strange to have a bunny stroller, though.

Since my new kitten Meesa loves to run outside the minute we open the door, I felt she was adventurous enough to venture outside in a stroller. She also cries when I leave her alone and so the only solution seems to be to take her with me when I leave the house to go walking or to go get the mail.

Both cats were very curious about this new object as it sat in the living room. I pretended it didn’t exist for a few days and then started to put each cat in the stroller and left the zipper panel open so they could get in and out and not feel trapped. Once you go outside you will appreciate the safety the zipper panel provides. Your cat will be spared the inconvenience of being chased by dogs, that type of thing.

So, after a few days, Meesa was ready to go outside. Since she was used to the stroller, she felt safe. I put her mouse toy in the stroller and lined the base with a soft towel. We then ventured out to get the mail. She was in bliss. Not only could she view everything from the safety of her mesh viewing window, she could also see me through the top opening and see out the sides. So, no matter if she was sitting, laying down or looking back at me, she felt safe.

My main concern was that being in a stroller would cause her too much stress. I know how cats seem to dislike suddenly being put in new environments. It seems Meesa is rather adventurous.

The Happy Trails Pet Stroller Features: Shock absorbers in the front wheels, 4 Pet viewing windows, Front Entry with Zipper, Waterproof Material, Top opening to view pet and a One-Hand Fold Mechanism for folding the stroller easily in half.

If you are taking the stroller with you on a trip, it will store flat. Unfolds again in an instant. You will also enjoy the Ergonomic handle.

Other features for your convenience:

Parent-Tray for water/keys, leash, etc.

Waterproof tray on the inside base of stroller – can be removed for cleaning

Large storage basket – You could use this for going on a picnic and taking lunch if you are heading to a park. Also useful if walking down to the mailbox or for carrying around cat toys or other kitten luxuries.

The only thing I was worried about when I ordered this stroller was the handlebar. I wasn’t sure if it was expandable. This might be an issue if you are very tall or want to stand further back from the stroller. I found I could easily push the stroller from the side while walking or walk behind the stroller without any problem. They could improve this item by allowing the user to adjust the handle bar position and length.

Assembly: To assemble this item all you do is take the stroller out of the box and then you attach the wheels. Now, if only the instructions matched what is in the box. Fortunately it was easy enough to figure out, although I do think they need to update assembly instructions for the wheels immediately if not sooner. It seems they updated the design, but are still using an older pamphlet. I did not find a collet or a collet cover, but another metal “hair-pin-like” object that fastened the wheel onto the axle very easily. Like putting a hairpin through a metal bar with a hole in it. So, that was easy enough.

Once you get the wheels on, there is a tiny hubcap. Once the rear wheels are attached to the rear axle, you just slide the rear axle onto the frame until it clicks and locks. The front wheels are already assembled and all you have to do is basically remove the covers and press the wheels onto the front of the frame base. Assembly took me about 10 minutes max.

Suitable for pets up to 33 lbs – cats and dogs or I’d imagine other pets who love to get out of the house now and then.

Very lightweight – easy to push with one hand

8″ wheels – Perfect on rugged terrain and the shock absorbers make the ride

more comfortable.

Fully lined canopy made from 600 Denier waterproof material – walk rain or shine.

Easy to store, fold or take with you when you travel

Replaceable parts – See the website for customer service.

To minimize wear and tear, they suggest you keep all moving parts in the wheels lubricated with WD40, but they make a note about not lubricating the brake components or swivel locks.

For Pets Only – perfect for older pets, new kittens, puppies, small dogs and other small animals.

My new kitten and I love this stroller and I think you will enjoy this product. Now I look forward to going outside for more walks because I don’t have to worry about Meesa getting lonely. She likes to be within 4 feet of wherever I am these days and follow me around like a puppy. She is currently sleeping on the desk in her comfy kitten bed. Eventually I’ll train Meesa to deal with a leash so she can get out of the stroller when we arrive at our destination.

Most pleased with this purchase!

Our boy, Madison, loves his stroller. He was a bit apprehensive, at first, when zipped-in, but soon settled down. This is a well built item…Nothing flimsy about it.

Our only complaints are: The zipper is a little difficult to get started and the pad could stand a little more cushioning (we added a “blankie”). Also, I would have liked the bottom portion of the front screen to have been a bit more rigid….We like to keep the screen open, at times. Perhaps a safety strap (to connect to a harness) would be nice, as well.

On the plus side, Madison has been accepted in many previously forbidden places and he is safe from the probing hands of strangers! This stroller is narrower than a baby stroller, which makes it easier to navigate in stores and crowded areas. The generous canopy provides plenty of shade and both the underneath basket and parent tray supply ample storage space. The mesh is airy and allows us to keep an eye on our boy. Oh, we also love the easy folding mechanism….A flat fold can be achieved in seconds….And away we go!

All in all, I can see that we will get a lot of use out of this stroller. Being a dachshund, Madison has always been height disadvantaged; he is now enjoying “the high life!”

Added: 2/08/06

We lost one of the cute “paw” hubcaps. I E-mailed Pet Gear and less than a week later, they sent a replacement…Plus a spare!

Added: 4/4/08

After almost 3 years of constant use, Madison is still enjoying his stroller. He has traveled up and down the East coast; visits to malls and museums are among his faves. A few quick wipes with a sponge, keep his “vehicle” always looking like new!

I had been looking for months before finally choosing to purchase this pet stroller. No cute frills – this was the most practical that I found, both for pet and guardian. Although it was very easy to assemble, it took me about half an hour of scratching my head trying to figure out why there were parts missing, and why I had parts that weren’t listed on the diagram. Fortunately I read one of the other reviews here on Amazon, and she explained how to put it together…phew!

Come on Pet Gear Inc. company – you really need to update your assembly instructions !

Other than incoherent instructions (read other review if you need help), I am very satisfied with this purchase. Now I can take my little dog almost everywhere, and when her tiny legs are tired out there’s a place she can go for a snooze without my having to carry her, or take her home.

This is a very beautiful pet stroller. I just got it for my aging dog. When she gets tired walking, I don’t have to carry her home. It has a heavy vinyl odor so I am airing it out a few days in the sun. I did need help putting it together. I look forward to long walks with this stroller.

Stroller is great – assimbly was easy. Plenty of room for my 11 lb silky terrier. Stroller is very sturdy and folds up pretty small. My only complaint is that the bag is not very sturdy. It kinda floppy. Wouldn’t even think of using it without the stroller. Also, the velcro straps that lock it into the stroller are too short. They could add a few more inches. They just barely make it around the legs.

This is the best pet stoller that I found. Purchased one at a local store and was just not working well. This is easier to fold down that a baby stoller. The carrier detaches to allow you to use the shoulder strap or attach it to the car seatbelt. It is a much better quality than any seen and I have referred several other pet owners to this site.

Would recommend this product!!

This is very convenient for when I carry around my cat to my dad’s house on weekends. The fleece inlay that it comes with is very soft and comfortable, my cat sometimes just lays in the carrier when we’re around the house. I love the pink color! Carrier is not as sturdy as I’d like it to be though I still like all of the zippered openings from where my car can go in. The stroller is very easy to open up and fold back. I also like the ability for the carrier to become a “car seat” simply by buckling a seatbelt through the loop in the back of the carrier. All in all, this carrier and stroller are good for the price, very convinient, and sold in very adorable colors!
